It is hard to justify that we are truly followers of Christ if we don't understand and act upon the first and greatest commandement: Loving God.

Dr. Andrea LaFountain and Pastor Steve Smickley present a workshop based on Loving God: a Scriptural and Psychological Guide to the Fulfilling the Greatest Commandment. The workshops review the 3-fold commandment issued by Christ that we are to love not just with an emotional heart-love, but fully, encompassing all parts of our redeemed humanity: heart, soul, and mind.

The sessions analyze the biblical basis for each of these types of love. Then there is a deep dive into what extreme love of God looks like from each perspective. Diagnostic tools are provided for each attendee that allow profiling against each of three loves. Each type of love has its own stages of growth from basic love to extremme love that Christians move through as they mature into a deep, fully loving relationship with God. Within each love  type, the workshops speak to how we can progress through the various stages by appling a biblically-based behavior change process.

The outgrowth from this workshop is a renewed heart, soul, and mind, that more fully appreciates the totality of what God requests of us, and a plan to grow toward loving God with all of our heart . . . and with all of our soul . . . and with all of our mind . . . so that we are undone - and He is glorified.
